Mad as a Hatter

I work alone, in a very large building, late at night.
This gives me a lot of time to think.
....and hear strange noises.
...and make myself nervous.
...and then tell myself I'm silly.
...and then do it all over again.

Tonight, I asked myself this question:
"Would I rather be hearing voices because I'm crazy or because there's actually someone else in the building (that shouldn't be there?)"

The worst part is, myself has yet to settle on an answer.
